OBEDIENCE TRAINING FOR BOXERS
The Boxer club had a great start to their Obedience Training nights which was well supported. Beginner handlers and dogs were given individual tuition in 2 short training sessions. perfect to not overload the beginner handler with too much training information and perfect for the way Boxers like to train. This excellant tuition was given by Rebecca Pandelis (Chief Instructor). the more experienced handlers and their dogs enjoyed the short snazzy lessons. No boring heeling around in big classes here, handlers were given excellant instruction on ways to improve on how they and their dogs worked together.
To complete the night all handlers were given the opportunity to learn the agility equipment tunnels, jumps, weavers etc. and they sure had fun. Charlie (Tonup Remember The Time) was a star in learning the tunnel - there was no stopping him once he mastered it.
Mark Johnston also came along and shared some ofhis expertise in show handling - all walked away with something new to try at their next show.
Training nights will be Wednesday nights between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. on the GSD rings of Erskine Park showgrounds. If weather not the best please ring wet weather number 99794643
It is hoped that we will also be offering a puppy kindergarten for socialising of your new puppies as well as beginners and advance classes for those Boxers a little move advanced.
Please inform your new puppy buyers about the importance of socialisation and inform them of the classes on offer.
Please note if you own a boxer but are not a member, membership applications will be taken on the night to be tabled at the next committee meeting of the Boxer Club of NSW.
