JUDGE'S CRITIQUE
I must thank the Boxer Club of NSW for the invitation to judge this show; I really
enjoyed the opportunity to go over the dogs. I was looking for a square outline
with a decent fore chest, good angulation and movement and a typical head. Head
type varied a great deal and was the biggest problem in the entry; many lack
rise of skull, width and depth of muzzle and the all-important chin.
Presentation was excellent and most of the dogs seemed to have good temperaments.
I was very impressed with the lovely venue, how nice to have a place for a get together afterwards.
My excellent steward Ernie Appleby kept everything flowing smoothly throughout the day.

Promising br/w with a lot of scope. Good foreleg height, lovely bone, evident forechest,good angulation both ends. He has a long easy stride and just needs to muscle up in hind quarters. Lovely head with good rise of skull, good stop, well padded muzzle and visible chin. Dark eyes all combining to give a pleasing expression which won him BEST BABY PUPPY.

Eyecatching red and white with a smooth outline. Very good neck and topline, good bone and body shape, correct angulation. Appealing head with chin, should mature into a very impressive male.
2nd RC Crossingham's Areba Quintessential Tall brindle and white who will take longerto come together. Excellent head with well shaped dark eyes and if he passes this type on he should be useful. Good neck and angulation.

Compact br/w with very nice body shape and hind angulation, good length of neck and the desired slightly sloping toline. Good type of head which doesn't need to get any stronger.
2nd R Anshaw/GJ Custance's Vineen Bronze God Rangier type which always goes against them at this age. Good neck and topline and correct rear angulation.

Typical head with good stop and chin. Dark eyes, good tilt to nose. Nice forehand and neat feet.

Masculine, good headed red/w with visible chin, good bone and overall shape, nice neck. Lovely show temperament and really drove round the ring and it was this that won him the class over the two brindles.
2nd GJ Custance's Jimbren Jet Setter (Imp UK)
Very nice br/w with good outline and angulation, corect forechest and topline, nice head with good stop and muzzle. Not as good on the move as 1.

Stylish br/w who came into his own going round with lovely long ground covering stride and retaining his topline. Good neck and angulation. Pleasing head with good stop.

Masculine red/w in excellent condition. He is in fact an old rival of mine and it was nice to see him again looking so well. He has improved under the Ozzie sun and looks muscular and fit. Strong head with plenty of width and depth of muzzle; dark eyes, good stop, neck and forechest good, correct topline. Moved well.
2nd R & E Scott's Ch Belmanta New Millenium Another very nice brindle with a lovely head. Excellent muzzle with width and depth, Strong bone, nice make and shape. Strong contender in the Challenge.

Lovely baby with a lot of promise. Pretty head and dark eyes, nice make and shape and she certainly seemed to enjoy the ring.

Close up to the winner - pretty brindle who also has a nice outline with a very good topline and tailset.
3rd A & W Hobday's Bandido Fall For Me
The older babies in this class were all at the 'legs and wings' stage in their growth and didn't look so together as the younger pups.

Top quality brindle bitch, she has the cleanest of heads, good rise of skull, correct balance of muzzle, good length of neck, excellent topline nad tailset. Correct angulation, no exaggerations anywhere, free mover.
